1) I have forgotten my password.
You may recover your password by following the dedicated link on the login page. Note: The recovery procedure is only available if your account has already been activated.
2) What usernames are allowed during registration?
You may choose a username that begins with three alphabetical characters, followed by alphanumeric ones. Spaces are allowed within the username, but trailing spaces and special characters are not permitted.
3) I started the registration process but did not activate my account in time.
To complete registration, you must activate your account using the link (in the HTML-format) provided in the email received upon signing up. Activation must be completed within 72 hours. If this period has expired, you will need to restart the registration process from the beginning. You may reuse the same email address and username used in the unconfirmed registration.
4) I am unable to confirm my initial registration.
If more than 72 hours have passed, you will need to repeat the registration process (see previous point). In some cases, even within the 72-hour window, activation may fail due to certain email clients altering the link, rendering it invalid. In such cases, copy the link text and paste it directly into your browser's address bar.
5) I cannot complete registration because the system indicates that my email address is already in use.
Your email address may already be associated with credentials for other applications (e.g. INFOSTAT, INFOSTAT-UIF, etc.). In this case, register using a different email address. If you cannot use another address or alias, log into the application where you are already registered, go to your user profile, and modify your email address. You can then proceed with registering new credentials.
6) I have not received the registration confirmation email.
Ensure your mailbox has not exceeded its usage limits and that the email has not been blocked by anti-spam or anti-phishing filters. Check your junk or spam folder. Also, ensure you have not used a certified email address (PEC).
7) I am not sure I entered the correct email address.
Try registering again using the correct email address.
8) I cannot log in.
There are three authentication methods depending on the application:
a) Login with Username, Password, and OTP
Enter the credentials defined during self-registration. If forgotten, use the 'recover username' (see FAQ 11) and 'recover password' (see FAQ 1) options on the login page. You may also request assistance by email to autoregistrazione@bancaditalia.it.
b) Login via SPID
Select your Identity Provider from the list and follow the access procedures provided by the chosen provider. In case of any issues, you may request assistance by email to autenticazione.spid@bancaditalia.it, specifying in the subject line the application for which authentication is being carried out. If you are unable to complete the SPID authentication process, please consult the support materials provided by your Identity Provider. The list of all Identity Providers is available on the page https://www.agid.gov.it/it/piattaforme/spid/identity-provider-accreditati; by selecting each provider, you will find links to both the operational manual and the user guide.
c) Login via Electronic Identity Card (CIE)
You may access digital services using:
i) CIE credentials (CIE number/Tax Code/email and the password of the CieID App);
ii) QR code scanned with the CieID App installed on your smartphone;
iii) the physical CIE card itself, using a smart card reader or an NFC-enabled smartphone.

9) My session times out after a while.
Logging into the application starts a session during which the user is identified and can operate. If inactive for a prolonged period, the session expires and a new login is required. Some browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer) redirect to the login page, while others (e.g. Firefox) may display an error such as: 'This page is not redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.' In such cases, close and restart your browser, then navigate to the application's homepage to login again.
10) How can I change the application's language?
Language selection is managed via your browser settings. Currently supported languages are English (en) and Italian (it).
11) I have forgotten my username.
You may recover your username if you have previously set a secret question and answer for identification.
12) None of the above FAQs has helped me.
